Description
Crossover steering means that the drag link goes from the pitman arm on the steering box and crosses over to the steering arm on the right hand steering knuckle. All-Pro Off Road?s Hy-Steer crossover steering kits take crossover steering one step further by placing the tie rod above the leaf springs. This greatly reduces the chance of damage to the tie rod on the trail.
All kits are designed to be used with an IFS steering box and are ideal for solid-axle converted trucks. All-Pro Off Road first designed Hy-Steer crossover steering for Toyota applications in 1998 and is the number one supplier of Toyota crossover steering. All-Pro now has over 10,000 satisfied Hy-Steer customers all over the world from the rocks of California to the deserts of Australia.
All-Pro?s one-piece steering and pitman arms are 4340 Chromoly steel. Don?t be fooled by arms that look similar, but are really 2-piece arms. We use DOM steel tubing to make our tie rods and drag links, which are then tapped to accept FJ-80 tie rod ends that have a beefy 23mm shank for added strength. For left-hand drive applications only. Not compatible with right hand drive applications.
